Thrive Functional Health works with NDIS participants under self-managed and plan-managed funding — delivering physiotherapy that builds capacity, improves independence and moves you toward the goals in your plan.
NDIS participants across Parramatta and Greater Western Sydney can access physiotherapy as part of their Capacity Building or Daily Activities support budgets. Whether you're self-managing your funds or working with a plan manager, Thrive can see you without a GP referral and will work within your plan's budget to deliver meaningful, goal-focused care.
Back pain, joint conditions, arthritis, tendinopathy and movement-limiting conditions affecting your daily function and independence.
Stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, ABI and other neurological diagnoses requiring specialist rehabilitation.
Falls prevention, balance training and strength programs — especially for older NDIS participants wanting to stay independent at home.
Building physical capacity, strength and endurance to support your daily activities and participation goals under your plan.
Physiotherapy most commonly sits under Capacity Building – Daily Activities (CB_DAILY_ACTIVITIES) or Capacity Building – Health & Wellbeing (CB_HEALTH_WELLBEING). Some participants may also access it under Core Supports. Your plan manager or Thrive can help confirm which category applies before your first appointment.
Call or email us with your NDIS plan details. We’ll confirm which support category applies and what your budget will cover — before you book.
Come in to our Parramatta clinic, or if you have mobility or transport barriers, we’ll arrange a home visit. No GP referral required.
We’ll design a program around your NDIS goals and keep your support coordinator or plan manager informed at key milestones.
No. NDIS participants do not need a GP referral to see a physiotherapist. You simply need active NDIS funding under an applicable support category. We’ll help you confirm this before your first appointment.
Not through agency-managed funding unless we become a registered NDIS provider. Thrive currently sees self-managed and plan-managed participants. If you’re agency-managed, speak to your support coordinator about options.
This depends entirely on your plan and the amount allocated to your relevant support category. Some participants have 5–10 sessions; others have significantly more. We’ll review your plan with you at the first appointment and give you a clear picture of what’s available.
We offer home visits across Greater Western Sydney, including Westmead, Merrylands, Granville, Blacktown, Penrith and surrounding suburbs. Travel time may use a small portion of your plan budget — we’ll discuss this upfront.
Book an assessment and we’ll confirm your funding, set goals aligned to your plan and get started — no GP referral needed.
